Just Sayin'

Just a random list of things that have been on my mind recently.

In no chronological order:

1. How the mighty have fallen.

Yes yes yes, any rational human being would tell me it's high time to stop dwelling on my sem1 cap. Although i tell people that it's lowness is due to the fact that i feel no passion for what i'm studying, i cannot shake the feeling that it's an omen of failure in the face of effort. Admittedly, i didnt study as hard as i ought to; but the fact remains that i DID STUDY. I crammed, wrote out all my notes, did past yr papers and held late night discussions with Azhar. Plus i was one of the top people in class for midyear results. So wtf happened?! I failed my final paper?? Doesn't help to have one nasty sonofabitch of a classmate who told me i didnt meet expectations. YES GENIUS I KNOW right.... someone like me should be getting 4.5. So everyone tells me. So how now, brown cow? I didnt so you can go ahead and look down on me all you want.

2. My choices are my own.

When i make a decision, i don't expect people to understand why. And since im not hurting anybody (most of the time) then i don't expect people to give a flying fuck either. I'm happy to explain when pressed, but when i do perhaps you might want to wipe that WHUT ARE YOU CRAZY look off your face. Also, you cross the line when you start telling me what to do and why my current decision is not the right one. Thanks buddy but when i agreed to commit to a rehearsal schedule that only ends at 10.30pm (meaning i get home after midnight on mon, wed, thurs and fri), i assure you that my mental capabilities are completely intact.

Also, when i explain to you that i cannot teach your son tuition because of the abovementioned busy schedule, can you please just FUCKING ACCEPT IT. C'mon i alr recommended my olvl tutor so what the heck is the problem?!!??!! When i tell you "no sorry i have a lot of theatre commitments", dont say "Orh. So how is this related to your studies." and still expect me to tutor. How about it's completely related because i love it so much and i might actually turn out to be pretty good at it. The same, however, cannot be said about my business modules and tutoring.

3. Don't condescend. And i'll leave you alone.

There is a production called Sun Day. It's the production i'm rehearsing for. And naturally when i give so much time for something, i'd like it when people come support it.

I get it that theatre is not everybody's cup of tea. It's the same how i dont buy tickets to every show thats available in sistic. But let's be reasonable. Since i've asked politely ("come and watch kay. im performing *grinzzzzz*"), id really appreciate it if you answered politely too. Do not give me shit like "FOR WHAT. WASTE MY TIME ONLY. ASK ME TO WATCH THIS, ID RATHER GO AND WORK AND EARN MONEY". Because that's just fucking rude. And because i might actually burst a vessel trying hard not to retort hey asshole at least i have an interest in something other than sex and money.

Sidenote: sex because hes married and i saw some nekkid shots of his wife -.-

This the same wanker who had a worse cap than i did and had the nerve to msg me "eh your cap is really quite bad arh."

4. In need of destressing and sunshine.

Random camwhore outing to nowhere in particular please. Pretty please. :)

Alienator

I have a problem smiling at people.

Obviously, i'm not talking about smiling with friends because that comes pretty easy. I'm talking about acquintances, those people whom you feel obligated to stop and acknowledge when you're walking around school.

Call me snotty, i don't care. But i seriously don't see the point. The only thing we know about each other is a name (and sometimes i've even forgotten it) so what's the point?!? We're probably not even gonna see each other in the future, so let's just cut the crap and forgo the formalities.

Seriously, i would love nothing more than to slap on a pair of shades and walk around sch without saying a single word or force-smiling at anyone.

My Time Wasting Skillz

Among the gazillion reasons why i particularly love uni holidays, there is one that stands out from the rest. And that would be the fact that whatever you learnt in the last sem has been returned to the teacher and you never have to bother about whats going on next sem; a holiday where you needn't sweat the academic stuff. Sooooo that makes for really good brain rot time.

Now fess up, we all know not everyone has epic time wasting skills. Some people just dont know what to do with all this excess time on their hands so here are a few tips and tricks on how to while your time away xD

Read. Fullstop. Easy peasy and zero calories.

And when you've read till the cows come home and your eyeballs have rolled away in tiredness, read again. But not books; comics. Now don't sniff and sneer. I know comics don't sound like "intellectual" reading, but when you have something as good as Neil Gaiman's The Sandman series, you probably won't give a hoot.

Another good way would be to raid youtube for movies that youve always wanted to watch but didnt get to coz of budget constraints or exam proximity. All the better if the movie is a trashy one or that stars Milla Jovovich; decadent brain numbing action flicks are love.

Lastly, cook. No, not pop something in the oven. I mean cook like buying ingredients and then tossing them around in a pan. Lol, domesticated much?

Ohhhh mannnnn, one more day to school D: and no rehearsals till Wednesday DDDDDDD:

Clicks, Dips and Dashes.

I think i've probably mentioned this last year to anybody who would listen; that my director has already planned for a 4 day rehearsal week. Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 6-10pm on a school week, mind you.

So i was very pleasantly surprised to see that he has broken down the scenes for different rehearsals, working on only 3 scenes per day. And since i wasnt going to be in every single scene (well nobody is in every single scene lol), i thought yeayyyy maybe i really wont have to go for every single rehearsal.

Then when i corresponded the scenes in the rehearsal schedule and the scenes in my script, i realised i have at least one scene in each rehearsal slot. Meaning id have to turn up for all. OMG FARNY.

Lol. Ok secretly im beaming to myself. Rehearsals make me happy. =)

Mental Notes

On the second day of new year, NUS gave to me A MAYJAH FUCKING HEADACHE.

Wowzerz congratulations. I swear omg this whole bidding process and hidden module info can go curl up in a hole and die please. If there are certain important things that students need to know, hmm for example the fact that the module is NOT OPEN TO YEAR 1 STUDENTS, perhaps it'll be a better idea to list it in the module info before bidding starts. Instead of revealing itself after said year 1 student has gone ahead to drop a subject for this other abovementioned module.

What a hottrannymess.

Eh forget it larh law fac. If you say no, im not gonna go home and cry buckets over you. Given my extremely bad affinity with nus, i wont be the least bit surprised if ill be making new yr resolutions over in aust next year.

Speaking of new year resolutions... Although i havent made any serious ones since tkgs (mostly out of the lack of willpower to follow it through, otherwise theyd be dumb resolutions like swear less, which we all know cannot be done), i've got 4 this year. And i'm beyond resolute to stick closely to them.

1. Put more effort into preparing for school. Hopefully i can cut down my tshirt-shorts-slippers combo from 5 days a week to 2 days a week.
2. Drop 4 dress sizes by the end of the year. Homg diet. If i ask you out to dinner, TURN ME DOWN.
3. Involve myself in more theatre-related activities.
4. Move towards more veganism like by replacing milk with soymilk and spurning all leather goods.

Sounds like a tall order! But heyho, ill make it happen larh xD

And I'm Still Breathing

As the last moments of 2008 slipped us by, so have our disappointments and milestones, our secret hopes and silly furies, our strengths and our growth, our mistakes and personal accomplishments.

So whats past is past, everything is gone and buried except (hopefully) for the lessons that time has given. I'm still here and so are all i love, so thats really all that matters.

For the sake of celebrating a fresh start, there really is no better way than to do it with camwhore-crazy friends. Not your the hi-bye garden variety *COUGHUNIFRIENDSCOUGH* but those who will toss aside their inhibitions to pose like phailz vampirezzz and laugh at all kinds of phailz eventz

Four times better than edward cullen.

wE rRrrRrrr tAiMeI aCtZ cUtEz FTW

Ghastly ghostly shots wahahahahaha

I like this one a lot xD None of us look like our normal deranged selves!

And this the one epic shot that rulez them all.

The strangerzzzz. We be outside your room window bewarez.

And before we knew it, the clock struck twelve and our fairygodmother cleared out the fairy dust and the new year arrived. =)
